2002 Honda S2000 - New Formula Red with black interior - 47K Miles in Middletown, New York
Honda truly designed and built a beautiful piece of machinery when they created the AP1 S2000. This is a clean low-mileage example, which are getting harder & harder to come by these days. The car has a true sports car feel when driving it, while still boasting Honda's known reliability. And should I mention it gets a solid 30 MPG on the highway? I will literally list every imperfection in this ad so there are NO surprises when a potential buyer comes to see the car in person.
We purchased the car in May 2010. It was originally owned by an older gentleman in Massachusetts who put only 30,000 miles on it. It had always been kept in a climate controlled garage. The car has always been adult owned & driven.

The car has been an absolute dream to own, but we've got a baby on the way & unfortunately there's no room for a carseat in this two-seater!
Now, the imperfections.. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm going to list everything so there are no surprises.
The ABS light on the dash is on due to a faulty sensor at the front passenger side wheel. This has been confirmed by a Honda technician. The brakes operate as they should & the light has been on since the car was purchased in 2010. The sensor runs about $160. The car will still pass NYS inspection with the light on! In fact, it passed inspection with flying colors in July of this year.
There is a small crack in the paint on the rear bumper behind the passenger side tire. It's only a crack in the paint (not the bumper itself), about 3" long. It's been that way since we purchased it. It looks like the tire may have kicked up a rock & hit the bumper just right. The red paint camoflages it very well, and you probably wouldn't notice unless it was pointed out.
There are some minor rub marks in the paint, about 1" wide by .5" tall above each of the taillights. There had been a spoiler on the trunk lid so it's probably from dust/dirt getting under it. I'm sure the marks could be buffed out, but we haven't tried. BUT, they're there, so they're worth mentioning! Please take a look at the photos, I've posted close ups of the marks.
There is quarter-sized wear on the drivers side seat. Please remember this is an 11 year old car! Again, please take a look at the photos!
